Helping Fix Bugs – How do I start?

    Hello,

    Im looking to become more involved in wordpress, probably from August onwards this year. I would like to know how to get started with fixing bugs? I did read some of the help pages, but it wasn’t obvious. Admittadly I didn’t have much time for a thorough search. Is there somewhere I need to register (apart from the trac database)? Do I have to become know as a big fixer?

    Between now and august I would like to start familiarising myself and get setup for bug fixing.

    Any help appreciated.

    P.S. My main job is software development and I run a few wordpress sites.
