WordPress site down after virus

  • Hello!

    we can’t access to our wordpress anymore. Our 1&1 internet provider told us there has been an attack and virus on wordpress, but we have no clue how to fix this as we are not pros in codes.
    Can you please tell us how we can get back to our wordpress panel and our site?

    You’re milano theme needs to be removed. It probably is not a virus.

    1. Using FTP or whatever file management tools your host has provided you with navigate to the wp-content/themes directory.
    2. Once there locate and make a backup of the milano directory. Just that one directory and nothing else.
    3. After you have that backup of the milano directory then delete it. Just that one milano directory and nothing else.
    4. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
    5. Try and re-login to your WordPress dashboard after that.
