help! wordpress is now under root but can’t insert pics

  • Hi, I followed some instructions (changing index.php and .htaccess) on making a static homepage to make my wordpress site which was previously under https://www.mywebsite.com/wordpress to https://www.mywebsite.com and this worked really well, but the problem is now I can’t insert an media into my pages or posts. Whenever I try to insert a picture or media I don’t get the browse to a file box that I used to get, I get an error message saying “are you sure you want to do this?” Can anyone tell me what to do so I can’t start inserting media into my posts again???
