Help with XAMPP.

I’ve installed it, but when double clicking a php file, the browser tries to download the file rather than execute it.

You cannot double-click on a .php file and expect it to run in a browser. The expected behavior for that action would probably be to either open a download dialog in your defualt browser, or open the file in any editor that might be installed on your system that is capable of editing .php files.

the problem is about your setting in the xampp. plz check php configuration. maybe there is some problems with it.

If you mean “safe” to open to the WAN and let everyone on the internet access your site, then the short and sensible answer is no. In it’s default configuration, it is not safe and should not be opened to the WAN.

XAMPP is intended for development purposes, not for a production environment.
