• Apologies if this is the wrong place for this question.

I am trying to figure out which version of this plugin I require and it is not clear.

The requirement is (at least to start with) pretty straightforward:

Display a set of fields from the Account table in the PowerPlatform and allow a user to login and complete these fields. 3 months later the same user needs to login again and update the information displayed in the fields.

I wondered whether using the primary contact relationship to the contacts table would allow login credentials to be set up and stored against an email address, or whether this could be done against the account table.

The system is being built from scratch so no need to worry about existing data and there will be a maximum of 15 PowerApps users licensed on the system.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated please.

    Hi @salesnow,

since your requirements include being able to identify signed in WordPress user and associate the record (via the primary contact relationship or any other), you will require Business edition.

We recommend considering our Dataverse plugin which is our next generation integration. Premium features are currently available in beta and pricing will be comparable or better than Dynamics 365 plugin.

    Thank you

thank you. I’ve got the Dataverse plugin now and will take a look.

on your Dynamics plugin there are three Business Versions. Do they all have the ability to authenticate against a CRM contact?

are there other functional differences, or is it down to user and instance numbers?

    thanks!

If you’re using Dataverse plugin, you do not need any of the plugins from the website that are for Dynamics 365 Integration plugin. Dataverse plugin provides its own links to download premium versions.

But if you’re going to use Dynamics 365 plugin then Pro edition is not sufficient. Business and Enterprise are similar when it comes to the features.

I now have your Dataverse plugin installed but I’ve fallen as the second hurdle! I have connected the Plugin to my CRM without issue but I cannot bind a wordpress page to a dataverse table in order to display a form on the page. There is simply no option to do anything with your plugin from the new page editor in WordPress. The options that your documentation say should exist don’t exist for me.

And when I download and instal the WordPress PowerPlatform solution into my PowerApps environment having created the Application Password in WordPress I am told “Sorry, you are not allowed to do that” when I try and register my website on the solution.

I am clearly missing something in the documentation or the docs for your new Dataverse connector are out of date. Can you help please?

    hi there

It looks like permissions in Dataverse are not set up correctly. We outlined the requirements but perhaps didn’t emphasized enough the mandatory steps.

Can you please reach out to [email protected] and send us the log file that can be downloaded from the admin interface.
