• I upgraded to WordPress 2.7. I have a couple of blogs hosted by www.remarpro.com but the blog I am talking about here is one that I host on my own domain.

I can not get the Stats 1.3.5 Plugin installed. I have been working on it for hours and finally decided I need some help desperately!

I have tried everything I can think of. I manually downloaded the file from the Plugin Directory and uploaded it to the wp-content plugin file and it didn’t work.

Then I read I only needed the stats.php file so I deleted the file that I had just uploaded and uploaded only the stats.php file in the plugin file and that didn’t work.

I’ve tried to install it from the WordPress Install Plugin page where it says if you have a plugin in a .zip format, You may install it by uploading it here. I did that and when it goes to the next page it says:

The uploaded file could not be moved to ***

I also read in the “read me” file where it says it should be a piece of cake!! It also stated to Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress. (But it never shows up in the Plugins menu).

    3. It will ask you to enter your WordPress.com API key, do so.

    4. Sit back and wait a few minutes for your stats to come rolling in.

I’m no computer genius by any stretch of the imagination but I just assumed that when I uploaded it onto my site it would be “activated” and I was never ask for an API Key.

That brings up yet another question. If I ever did get it to work and it did ask for an API Key could I use the one that I have from my other blogs hosted by WordPress or am I suppose to get another one somewhere else considering this blog is not on hosted by WordPress?

Can anyone Please help me with this problem?

Thank you and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    UPDATE OF HELP NEEDED:

I have finally today gotten the stats activated on my blog, or at least I am told I did, and it did finally ask for the API Key which I gave from my other blog hosted at WordPress.

When ask for the API Key and I put down that number I was told who it belongs to, which was me, and was told that if it belonged to me then I could click on a button and my blog that I am hosting, (that I’m having problems with), would be added to my WordPress account…which it was.

I was also told that I may be ask to re-login in order to see my stats and if so I should and I did, or tried to with no luck.

Now is where my next problem comes in…I can’t get logged in. While the privately hosted blog shows I am logged in the stats don’t so I still can’t view the stats.

I have tried logging in with my privately hosted information and it does not take it so I tried logging into my WordPress account information, (the login information is different, different username but same password), and this doesn’t work.

Can anyone please help me and maybe tell me what they want since neither works?

Thanks so much again and again Any Help will be greatly appreciated.

(one whopper of a problem isn’t it)?
