Help with sorting out the pictures

I want to change the sorting order to desc ( newest picture goes on top instead of at the end). My problem is that the option in NG gallary – more option field doen`t work,.. ( really dont know why). I tried even to change my themplate file (wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery.php) but nothing will change!, even if i delete the file from the server. Does anyone know how i can change this? Or are there more with this problem?
