help with slider and notice post.

To change the height of the silder please go to

Dashboard => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Advanced Options
and add the below given css

.site-layout-fluid #main-slider {

    max-height: 300px;
}

And about the notice section,
the notice section is at the top of the header you must have mistaken another section for notice section, please explain in more detail to resolve your issue.

And also can we please have your site url, so that we can fix your problem better?

Sorry i have mistaken recent news section with notice section.

For the size of the news section featured image, please add the featured image of the post you want greater than 250 height and 250 width.

This is the recommended size of image for the news section’s posts/
