Help with Sidabar o Blog

    Hi, I’d really appreciate some help. I’m new to WP and just finding my way around it.
    Im using a template for Graph paper press, which looks pretty good.

    I’ve created a site https://www.nickstern.com
    on the site I want a blog which is called “Oh Shoot!”
    However I want a side bar with an explaination about the blog, but can’t get it on the default page.

    This is what I want : (which is on a sub page)

    But this is what I have got

    I emailed graph paper press support about and their reply is at the bottom of this messgage which TBH I dont understand:

    Hi Nick. The sidebar in Sidewinder will only show up on your Blog page (using the Blog page template) and single Posts that are filed under your Blog category. Sidebars will not show up on default Pages like [this one](https://nickstern.com/?page_id=118). HTH.

  • Try applying the Blog template to your Blog page in the Edit Page area.

    Thanks Esmi – that was easy, I didn’t even know you could apply different template so pages…I do now.
