help with search bar and go button…

I’ve used pure trial and error to hack a theme for myself. So far so good, but I’m stuck on this search form/ go button thing on the right side of the navbar.

As you can see at https://www.energyanalysis.org it’s not looking so hot. I need to get the “search form thing” and the “go button thing” on the same level on the right side of the navbar. One might think this task is easy, but I’ve been hacking away at it for two hours with no success.

If anyone has any “know how” please let me know how!
