• Hi….I am new here and relatively new to WP. I have a website up & running (of sorts) but am really stuck with setting up the shop.

I am running the NO NONSENSE theme with WP Menu Cart Pro and Woocommerce. I have been searching the net for days trying to find a resolution for my problems…when I upload catalogue images to the shop they come out hugely distorted as you will see at https://www.healingprayerschool.org

I have followed advice on changing the ratios within the settings but this does not change the size of the images. Several people have told me to change the CSS code but I cannot find anywhere on the site to do that.

Having struggled for days on this I am fairly frustrated now and tempted to abandon the whole thing and start afresh with a different package. Any advice greatly appreciated but please remember I am a newbie!

Thanks Ravi..but I already tried to change it that way and it makes no difference. I used the link you sent yesterday and went through the instructions but the picture imaged remain the same size.

You might try posting your question on the Woocommerce plugin support forum. The users there, and the developer, are probably much more familiar with the plugin functionality.

Have you regenerated the image thumbnails after changing the image sizes?

if you change the image sizes in Wocommerce, that will only affect the future images you upload. the ones at the media library will remain unchanged.

to change the image thumbnails for media previously uploaded, you have to regenerate the thumbnails.
Luckily, there is a great plugin for that: Regenerate Thumbnails

    Hope it helps, good luck!

Thanks Alfonso100 – I have already tried that and have the regenerate thumbnails plugin.

    that fixed the issue?
if not, do you have an example page where we can see the distorted images?

Hi Alfonso100 – no, it didn’t fix it. If you follow this link you will see what I mean https://healingprayerschool.org/shop/

I have just heard from someone on the plugin forum that the wp theme we are using does not fully integrate with woocommerce – my boss doesn’t want to change the theme so I am trying to find ways around it.

my boss doesn’t want to change the theme

If the version of the theme you’re currently using is from the www.remarpro.com theme repository, it hasn’t been updated in 18 months so it’s not surprising that it has problems with the plugin. I’d encourage you to try and convince your boss that it’s in your best long-term interest to change your theme now. It will take some time and work, yes. But, with WordPress major updates taking place almost three times a year, sooner or later you will run into an incompatibility issue and something will break. My opinion would be that it’s better to start looking for a replacement now rather than wait until you have a problem and potentially are offline.
