Help with picking the right set of plugins (perhaps themes?), etc.

    I would like to:
    1. have the site “stretch” with the browser window size
    2. have categories as pages
    3. have 2 newest posts in a category/page display fully while ALL the rest are title-only.

    In a sense, I’d like to make a wordpress installation+plugins+template to mimic my other site https://www.gregfridman.com (no WP there).

    Any help/advice/links would be greatly appreciated.

  • As a general note: if you have a html/css layout, you can easily convert it into a WP theme: Theme_Development and links from there.

    #1. you need a flexible (non-fixed width) theme.
    #2. will never happen – don’t mix Pages and categories. Use Category_Templates.
    #3. You will have toplay with The_Loop – (eventually, multiple loops… or just a simple post-counter code snippet)
