• Hi all

I am running a woocommerce website and need some help on the SEO.

I want to write some good content pages to boost my product category pages, i need to understand a little better how this works to make sure i do this correctly.

Do i write a good quality page of content around the category keyphrases and then add this as a page on the website. Do i then make the product category page a child of this parent content page?

If not what is the best way to structure it?

Also i have some categories that have a number of high level keyphrases that are relevant so i need to write some pages around each of the keyphrases, how do i then structure this around the category page, can i set a number of pages to parent of the child product category page?

Or do i have this totally wrong?

    Hopefully someone can help

    thanks

  • @mungo2007 Your products, categories, etc are already setup as existing. They have URLs, if you want the URLs to be easily found by search engines then you need to make sure that you have a sitemap. An easy to do this is to use a plugin like Yoast SEO.

SEO, and how to write your content is really outside the scope of the WooCommerce support forum. I’d recommend trying one of the SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO and reading their documentation on how to use Yoast SEO with WooCommerce. There are a lot of articles and information on SEO and setting up your site on the Yoast SEO website at yoast.com.
