• I can only see to add a visible link and not a hyperlink one after the Guten upgrade. I used to be able to add a hyperlink and then edit the text/name of the hyperlink, so it would look like clickable text. Now, I have no idea where to find the option or how to edit the hyperlink because there seems only to be an option to paste the link; NOT edit it.

    Please help!

It sounds like you’re trying to make the link, and then put the text that it should be afterwards. That’s usually the opposite way around from how most people do it.

Instead, try typing the text that you want displayed first. Then highlight the part that you want to make the link, and make that highlighted text the link by pasting the link in.

This way, you can edit the text/name of the link right there in the text normally, and just have it linked to wherever you like. If you’re trying to make the link without selecting text first, then it will assume that you want the link to be in the text itself as well as being the link.

As a shortcut, if you have a link already in your clipboard, you can select some text in the paragraph, and just paste “over” it. If what you have in the clipboard is a valid http type link, then it will simply make that text you have selected into that link, with that text, without having to use the popup box for it.
