Help with LEFT and RIGHT collumns

Generate the left & right columns using separate, widget-ready, sidebar template files:

Eg: <?php get_sidebar('left');?> will call the sidebar-left.php template whilst <?php get_sidebar('right');?> will call the sidebar-right.php.

You can then use any of the widgets in Admin/Appearance/Widgets (including the Text widget) to create different content in each sidebar. You can extend this almost indefinitely if you also make use of conditionals to load different sidebars based on the page/post name etc.
