I want to move the header link out of the header image and place it above. In addition I want to create a navigation to possilbly different sections. I was thinking because the theme did not come with this sort of navigation I would have create a new .php page and have the main template call for this page, would this be the correct thing to do? Any suggestion and links to help me out would be appreciative. I have limited knowledge of .php.

If you notice the header link is in the middle of my image I want that move and add a navigation. It should be something like this.

    Header link (logo) nav1 | nav2 | nav3 | nav4

    Header Image Here

  • Might the Connections theme be close to what you’d like ?

Actually, that sounds more like Rin: https://www.brokenkode.com/rin

A demo for Rin can be found here:

But, if it’s Kubrick modifications that you’re looking for, you should as the Kubrick Support Forums:

podz – I actually started using the connections theme but I needed a three column design also and got frustrated working with the sidebar css/html so I changed it to this the 3 column kubrick theme.

macmanx – The rin theme is also a two column design. I have not found 3 column designs with navigation yet. Thank you for the link for support on kubrick.

Any suggestions still on accomplishing what I’m asking on this theme or even theme suggestions that have similar three column design and navigation would be great

    thank you so far.

A three column Connections theme would be awesome if anyone knows of one.

that might work well if I could move the left sidebard next to the right sidebar. That way both sidebars would be on the right. Is that easily doable?

That would require some hacking. How about this one?

And, if you get a chance, look through the rest of three column themes.

thanks macmanx. the liewcf three colum design is where I started with this problem first. Can you see where I am at right now :D* I keep bouncing back and forth with themes trying to find a blend of what I am looking for. I’ve tried connections because of the navigation and but it lacks the three columns and now I’ve tried three column Kubrick but it lacks the navigation. I’m trying now Rin Tin Tin but the sidebars are split instead on one side. I’ve searched through all three column sites that I cold find including the codex. I’ve been trying to find the one that is the easiet to do in what it lacks. There are my problems with templates that I find. Either I need to add navigation, add a sidebar or move a sidebar. Which of these would be the easiest? I thought adding navigation would be easiest but then everyone started posting other themes so I figured those would be easier to make my modifications. Maybe I was misunderstoon on what I wanted. With that said what would be the easiet to add to a theme?

My personal opinion is that adding a nav bar at the top is infinitely simpler than doing ANYTHING with sidebars/columns. YMMV.

you are right it is much easier just to add a navigation then finding a way to move the sidebar because I just did it and it works great now. Thank you everyone for your comments.

As a new WPer using the Kubrick theme, and by no means a programmer, I need to know if it is possible to change the line under each post that points to comments, etc. The version I’m using includes “Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments” now. If possible, I’d like to remove the reference to categories (I don’t use them) and include permalink link (here as well as the title).

Is this possible, and can someone explain in newbie-ese how to do it?

    Thanks,
    Tony
