• I’m fairly new to this and trying to create a gallery on my site without complex coding so have installed Easy Nivo Slider. However when I go to the page editor and select/set up Easy Nivo tool all the below code just appears on my page. Anyone know why?

    Or anyone know a simple plugin that can help me get images/logos both in my pages and outwith e.g. a column of images to the left or right of each page?

    My site is https://www.runaroundmull.co.uk

    Thanks so much!

    get_easy_nivo_slider_for_featured_images:
    array(47) { [“nivo_settings_current_tab”]=> string(12) “tab_settings” [“first_width”]=> string(3) “400” [“first_height”]=> string(3) “300” [“first_slices”]=> string(2) “15” [“first_linking”]=> string(4) “true” [“first_caption”]=> string(4) “true” [“first_captionOpacity”]=> string(3) “0.8” [“first_pause_on_hover”]=> string(4) “true” [“first_arrows”]=> string

    it goes on….

  • I like Photospace

    Dean keeps it updated, and he answers question on his website

    Ok thanks, I will try that instead. On Dean’s site he says:

    “Then simply use the short code tag [photospace] and you’re done”.

    Where do I enter this shortcode?

    Thanks again ??

    Enter the shortcode on your editor, when you write the content for your page/post. Also you can enter this shortcode in text widget to display the gallery in sidebar.

    btw, Have you tried NextGen gallery ?

    Sorry I’m a coding novice – you say I enter into my editor, do you mean entering into my actual editor template files e.g. page template, or do you mean just entering [photospace] when I’m writing the text for one of my pages?

    I have NextGen installed now too in the content of my pages but trying to work out how to get NextGen to appear in a sidebar on specific pages – been trying to do this by dragging it to the sidebar in widgets. I’ve been told though that my TwentyEleven theme is only set up to have the sidebar in the posts page which is why none of the widgets I’ve put in the sidebar appear anywhere else apart from my posts/blog page! Do you know how to change the coding so I can have the sidebar appear on one of my specific pages? Then the NextGen gallery should do all I need!

    Thanks so much in advance!

    just entering [photospace] when I'm writing the text for one of my pages?

    Thanks…and I found my answer to getting the sidebar on every page, using the simple TwentyEleven Theme Extensions plugin – thank goodness for the people who write these plugins!
