Help with Header and/or Title

  • I’m looking for someone who could do something (or tell me how to do it) with my Title and very little else.

    I have a graphic I made in Photoshop I’d love to use for the header, and a background graphic.

    That’s all.

    But knowing no CSS and very little html, I don’t see how to do it myself.

    I will pay if your price is reasonable.

    But on further thought, if I succeeded in getting my header and background integrated it wouldn’t work because my text is black and would be unreadable against that background. If it could be done I’d want the text color FF,FF,CC. That is not white, but just off white and close to some of the color in the font that’s in the header I’ve created.

    Hi Bob – thanks for responding. I did that but the title remains as “The Geek Blog”, which is the problem…sigh!

    Oh! I’m not the one to give a proper answer. I found the problem you’re having easy to solve, but there must be something with yours that’s not as easy as I thought. I’m sorry. Who am I to give advise when I can’t figure my own problem out?!

    Your write: “You can go to Presentation->Header Image and Color and custom choose your image right there.

    You’ll probably want resize and upload your image into the themes directory first though.”

    I just don’t see how. I’ve read my brains out on CSS, Style-sheets, Headers, file permissions and FTP but don’t see how I can do this right at the Presentation->Header Image and Color.

    I feel as if I’m making this more difficult than it is.

    Kittycat2006, try opening your blog page and go to ‘Change your site’s look or theme’, then go into ‘Options’ then ‘General’ and check out your Blog Title. It probably says ‘GeekBlog’ and all you’ll need to do its change it to whatever you want it to be and save your changes. Hopefully this is an easy to fix to your prob…. x

    Hi fmfm – I did just that but the heading remains “Geekblog”. I don’t know how to edit the Styelsheet etc yet. Guess I need to figure this one out there? Thanks for helping.

    Yeah, I’m not seeing a place in Header Image and Color that would allow one to select or upload a graphic or image file.
