Help with Google Analytics Setup

Where do you paste the Google Analytics page tag? The directions given by Google says to paste them to your website using WordPress’s custom HTML feature and then linked to WordPress’s Theme Handbook. I am trying to add the new Google Analytics 4 to my current Google Universal Analytics but they seem to have linked to the wrong instructions. Any help will be appreciated!
