Help With Frozen Widget

I put an advertisement widget in the 2nd footer position of my arcade games site and loaded some javascript into the content box to run an ad. The ad looked bad, and when I went back to the widget area to remove the widget, I found that the widget controls are all missing and the widget itself is “frozen”. If I strip the code out of the content box, there is no way to save the change. All the widget controls appear to have been turned into code within the content box. Also, the “screen options”, “help” and “Howdy (my username)” buttons on the widget page are not working at all. I guess I’m lucky because the rest of the widgets are still working, but I’d like to fix this by getting rid of the widget in the 2nd footer position. I stripped the 2nd footer out of the sidebar-footer php so that the ad doesn’t show onscreen, but this doesn’t solve the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is what the code in the widget content box looks like now: I’m not a WP programmer, but I can see that the first part of the coding is for the ad, and the rest appears to be the coding for the controls of the widget. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
