    Hi there,

I just completed the configuration with the dataLayer in Google Tag Manager (https://beautiful-cookie-banner.com/documentation/configure-google-tag-manager-with-datalayer-for-beautiful-cookie-banner/).

Right now I have two tags, one for Google Analytics and one for LinkedIn. These have the BLOCK triggers incorporated already, so I got to the next step: fire tags on cookie banner update.

While reading the instruction for this last step, I get lost. If I understand correctly, I have to duplicate my existing GA and LinkedIn tags and assign the newly created trigger “consent updated” to it? Or should I just do this in the existing ones that I have already (with the BLOCK triggers in them, from the previous step).

Also I would like to know how to test this properly when everything is set up.

Could you please let me know? Thanks already.

    Hi @ferdievz,

thanks a lot for your feedback. The documentation was a bit bad. No wonder that you had trouble. I updated it now.
Please let me know if it is now more clear and if you have any other feedback.

    Regards
