help with Elementor

I recently moved to a page builder. I opted for Elementor after reading the great reviews. One of my pages now has 60 images on it. I’m used to simply inserting <!–nextpage–> inside the html to split such a page into many.
Obviously with such a rich builder I made the assumption this would be supported. I found Elementors html widget but <!–nextpage–> doesn’t work with it.
Why is such equivalency not supported? How can I workaround this? I attempted switching back to the classic wordpress editor to insert the page breaks in the html but that entire page got screwed up because it was created with the Elementor builder I guess.
Please help.
