Hello, I’ve set up the mapping through the plugin, and it seems to be working fine, except when I load the mapped domain, the address bar reveals the real, default URL.

What can I do to correct this? Is there a file or config I need to tweak to make sure only the mapped domain shows in the address bar? Thanks!

Some config context if it helps:
I’m using Bluehost as my host and Namecheap as the registrar for both the primary domain and the desired/mapped-domain.

The mapped domain’s nameservers are pointed to Bluehost’s, and it’s working as a domain alias (Bluehost seems to call it parked domain) to the main site.

Just to add. It would seem that I’m only seeing it correctly work on my laptop.

Others trying to access the mapped domain receive an error. Would appreciate any help for this, thanks.

@momatoes so sorry for the delay in response! I didn’t get a notification, which I’ve now remedied ??

I’ve experienced the same bug you’re describing before, and it happens soon after mapping the domains, correct?

I believe you should clear your browser cache or try a new browser.

Additionally, you should wait until the propagation time has passed just to be sure (it’s based on your ISP, not specific location, so propagation will be different for each unique internet connection).

Please let me know if you continue to face any issues.

Oh wow, sorry it didn’t notify me either! I only now just saw this.

Unfortunately the problem has still persisted, even after clearing both the website cache and my own browser cache. Confirmed also in other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari) and devices (Windows, Mac, Android). I’m not sure why it persists.

I can live with it, but it’s impacting the search results showing in Google so I’m concerned.

It appears there is some kind of misconfiguration. Would you please ensure you’ve setup up your Alias domain properly on your server configuration? As well as all the other items mentioned in this video playlist (this link starts with the 6th video, which is most relevant to you):

If you need further support on this, I would request that you kindly email login access details to your site to our support email [email protected].

Please make a backup of your site first, and we can investigate what’s going on.
