Help with Customer Emails

    When my site (coppercreekammo.com) emails a customer after they place a new order it is showing them the incorrect products. It showing them the original title we copied the product from, even though the order is correct in the back end of the site. Only the new order email is incorrect.

    For instance lets say they order a “red widget” their new order email is showing that they ordered a “blue widget (copy)”

    Hi Josh,

    I don’t see anything immediately in the system status that might be causing this. But answer me this, would you only see the wrong product information in the emails? Or is the wrong info also in the WooCommerce order itself?

    @ryanr14, The wrong information is only in the emails. All the information on the live website and the backend of the store is correct. We see the items the order correctly and they also export/import into quickbooks correctly. The only place there is an incorrect issue is the customer Order confirmation email to our knowledge. We havent had any complaints with the Order complaint email.

    Hi @coppercreek,

    That’s good at least that it is only in the emails. Could you try disabling all plugins, outside of WooCommerce and a payment method if needed, as well as trying a default theme like Twenty Seventeen temporarily?

    Then place an order yourself and see what the email says that you receive.

    Ryanr14 thanks for your help on this… I have solved the issue.

    Mailchimp was sending the email with the (copy) tag on the product. They know about this issue and cannot figure out a fix. their recommendation is not to use duplicate products in your store. of course the easy fix for now is to turn off the mailchimp order notification….

    hope this helps anyone who experiences this issue in the future.
