I’m having trouble deciphering the color contrast issue that the plugin is flagging on the roll-over ctas on this page: https://www.nisivoccia.com

Here’s a link to the screenshot of the dashboard flagging the issue. From what I’m seeing it’s saying that’s there’s white over white? But what is it exactly flagging?

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Hi smores04,

From a quick visual inspection it looks like all of the links to https://www.nisivoccia.com/services are good. Which is what the error referenced. Have you made changes to the page or is it still showing the errors?

No, I haven’t done any work to the home page CTAs, it’s still flagging them with the insufficient color contrast message: The color combination #ffffff/#ffffff has a contrast ratio of 1.00, which is not sufficient. At this size, you will need a ratio of at least 3.

That’s the same message as my initial post.

    Best!

    Hi smores04,

I think this is a false positive. I ran a test with the axe tool and it only shows one color contrast ratio issue on that page although it did show 12 total violations for that page in total.

You can see a screenshot of the axe report here.

The axe tool shows that the “submit” button for Constant Contact is not within color contrast ratio.

I would not worry about the CTA’s. I think they are fine.

    thanks,

    Hi Robert,

Also, you might want to check what the background color of the image is. This is important so if there is a problem loading the images your site might show the white text on top of the white background.

In this kind of situation, I try to use the best practice of always setting a background color opposite the text, just in case.

I think this is what the accessibility tester is red flagging.

    I hope this helps!

Ahh, that makes sense, Thanks Joseph!
