• Hello forum!

I’m trying to figure out a simple way to make it so that my blog page only shows posts that have a certain tag (i.e. blog, various, etc).

Since there is no blog.php file with this theme, I’m assuming I have to add/remove some code near the loop, but I’m not 100% sure this is correct.

Can some kind soul please help me and show me how to make my blog page only show posts of a certain tag (ID) – that would be awesome! ?? Thank you so much!

Please never edit the files of a theme unless you create a backup first and don’t plan on updating.

Now with that little warning out of the way you can simply create a child theme and create a blog.php file and it will use that for the blog.

I am indeed using a child theme based off of 2013 – thanks!

How do I “tell” WordPress to use the blog.php in my child theme directory? Is that override automatic or something? How do I connect it? I mean, do I need a blog.php file in order to do this filtering?

    Thank you kindly!

I’m unsure what code has to be inserted into the blog.php file in order to show ONLY posts with a certain tag(s) in the blog.
