Help with API and FTP

  • Hello, I was wondering if someone here could point me in the right direction. I need to retrieve data and images on a daily basis and have it post to a page in our WordPress site.

    The first service I need to use has json API available.
    The second service I need to use has Anonymous FTP for both data and images.

    I have no experience in using API’s, but I am commented to learn. Could anyone help me with getting started?

    I was wondering if there is a plug in available to do this automatically, however from what I have read it appears to be more involved.
