• So I’ve been using Vslider which is awesome but I’m having trouble getting it to show on my home page
    (all wfs)
    I have a full content blog showing on my front page
    https://www.craicconditioning.com
    In the blog template the slider is there but it does not show on my main page
    https://craicconditioning.com/?page_id=601

    The code I’ve put into my blog template is
    <?php if (function_exists(‘vslider’)) { vslider(); }?>
    Any ideas as to how I can get the slider showing on my main page ?
    thank you

    wtf ??
    thats impossible ?
    why would it not show up when I load it ???
    you sure that your not just seeing the pic within the post ?

    what I see is above the post – a guy lifting weights

    ok I’m going crazy,
    I’ve checked it on two computers and my phone and its not showing up
    If you click ‘Home’ does the slider load on that page ?? That is the one I am trying to get it on.

    Your images are scaled down, They are 1152px × 712px but display at 555 x 344 so the files sizes are much larger than they need to be so are slow to load on your connection. Resize them to the size they actually appear at on the page and they’ll load quicker.

    @johncpt,

    As Samuel B said, I too can see the it in both the places. (One man is lifting a black weight and other is lifting yellow weight). Am I right?

    yes you are right.
    I really don’y know why they dont show up on my laptop, desktop of phone.
    I’ll try resizing the pics and see if it helps.
    Thanks guys

    So I resized the photos but still having the same problem
    on the main landing page it just shows the full content blog with no slider
    craicconditioning.com
    and on the blog page https://craicconditioning.com/?page_id=601 it shows the slider and a summary of the post with no pictures

    really confused

    The image of the chap with the yellow weights is 111k & the b&w one is 77k & they are both pngs. It should be possible to optimise them to be much smaller. Try saving them as jpgs & optimise them to get the best tradeoff of image quality vs file size. – remember to to change the markup that calls them. Are you on dialup or a similarly slow connection?

    no I have normal wireless internet. Its really fast for everything else.
    I don’t see why the image sizes would have an effect on me seeing the slider perfectly on the blog page as opposed to not seeing them at all on the main page ???
