Currently, if you create a taxonomy field with auto-populate feature with checkbox or auto-complete field type for multiple selections, you can select from a list of existing options (such as tags and categories), but you cannot enter new options.

Making the field “single-text-field” allows you to add any tag/category you want but it limits to just one entry and you cannot see the list to choose existing options.

Could anybody suggest a right field type or a workaround to achieve this?

Thanks for using Caldera Forms. You would have to use both types of fields for this as what you’re asking for is unfortunately not a feature.

    Josh,

That works but the text field doesn’t count separators (comma in this case).

Say, we add a text field to add new tags in addition to auto-complete field for multiple tags to create posts from the frontend. The user can enter just one new tag from the text field but not multiple tags ??

A repeater field may help but Calderaforms doesn’t support it so what I am requesting is to add a field-type especially for taxonomies that works exactly as ACF’s taxonomy field. Their taxonomy field-type allows you to select, add and edit taxonomies.

    Thank you!
