help to display articles in categories please read

I’m publishing written articles or novels, and they go under certain categories, let’s say poker articles, where there are different types of poker:

No-Limit
Fixed-Limit
Omaha

Etc, let’s say I’ve written 7 Omaha articles and 3 No-limit articles, then I want the user to be able to get only the articles from No-Limit to display, ofcourse juts the title.

Now these articles arent regular posts, they’re more books than posts, so archives is not really a choice.

I found a plugin that would be perfect by looking at the demo, but then it’d seem they had some sneaky membership thing, and it was their articles not mine, I just need their structure to display my own articles.

as you can see on those pages,something like that’d be perfect, how do I get something like that?
