    Hi

I have recently added SSL to my site and now have a list of script errors due to google fonts being in http and not https.

I have read all other post and tried a few things but cant get to the bottom of it. IS there a simple code / paste somewhere to direct to https and not http.

My site is scottishmoments – not a coder so if you can point me in the right direction. I can use the developer on google to find the 12 errors at present but cant equate that with where they are in the theme.

    Help appreciated!

  • Hi,

I had used this online service to check your website SSL.
    https://www.whynopadlock.com/

The two google fonts that you are referring to is being loaded by your cache plugin as part of a minify script and not the direct link created by theme.

First thing to do is to clear your cache plugin’s cache content.

Next, you should be using manual minification, so that you can enter the google font URL correctly into it’s option.
If not, you can disable script minification in your cache plugin.

Please contact your cache plugin’s support if you require assistance on using their settings.

For any link that you added via a text widget or content in post or page, you will need to enter them in https

Please use this plugin, which will help in troubleshooting any other SSL issue.

    Thanks Danzel – sorted.
Loads of Javescrpt errors now but at lease the SSL is sorted.

    Hi,

    You are welcome.

Regarding javascript errors, you can check for plugin conflict.
    1) if you are using a cache plugin or server cache. Please clear your cache content and disable your cache plugin’s caching feature via it’s settings.
    2) Proceed to disable one plugin at a time, clear browser history and re-visit your website. Check if your javascript errors are gone.

Do this until you find the plugin that’s causing this issue, Please replace with an alternative plugin.

    Thank you
