Help seting up custom taxonomies in a meta description template

    Hi,
    I’m trying to set up custom taxonomies in a meta description template under content type.
    It’s a property website so under “Content Types” Tab I have:
    – Posts, Pages, Products, Properties, Partners, Agents, Galleries etc…

    On the Taxonomies Tab I have:
    – Categories, Tags, Format, Property Type(property-type), Property Status(property-status), Property City(property-city), Product Categories etc…

    I want to put the custom taxonomies in the meta description template of “Properties” so the “property type” automatically shows.

    I don’t really know what I’m doing so i’ve been trying trial and error with no success.
    %%ct_property-type%%
    %%ct_propertytype%%
    %%ct_property_type%%
    %%property-type%%
    %%cf_property-type%%
    etc…..

    Can it be done ? If so how do I do it please ?

    Please, make sure that you have the properties posts assigned to properties custom taxonomies. If you do, you can then use %%ct_property-type%% and %%ct_property-city%% to the properties posts meta description field.

    Once you add the custom title template variable correctly to the meta description field, please go to the front end part of that particular page and see the source code to see whether this outputs the custom taxonomy name correctly.

    Hi Md Mazedul Islam Khan,

    I don’t think the properties posts are assigned to properties custom taxonomies.

    Could you point me in the right direction of where and how I do this ?

    I’ve been looking online and I’m a lot more confused than when I started.

    A custom property can have custom taxonomies. So, if the property is a custom post type on your site and if it has a custom taxonomy called properties, you’ll need to add the category while writing a post on property post type and that’s how you assign a custom post type item to its own custom taxonomy.
