Define what you mean by “right”…

Because that site IS running WordPress, so I don’t really understand your question.

If the site is wrong, no CMS will be right for it. ??

I’m sorry, I guess I should be more specific. ;(

Can WP handle a large influx of registered users (e.g., 1 Million)? Also, is WP to simple (no disrespect to WP). LOL.

I Love WP, I’m just wondering if users will be turned off because “Oh, it’s WordPress”. I want to continue using WP; however I have investors that I must convince that WP will be simple – but very effective.

I guess when they see FREE, they (not me) think “Well, if it’s free it can’t be good.” So typical. ??

You’re right chaosprime, if the site is wrong no CMS is good.

Question is, can your server handle 1 Million users?

I guess the answer is yes! ?? Like I said, I love WP and want to use it for life. I want my site to be less complicated and allow immediate postings for [Link Removed – One is enough] .

Te name [Link Removed – One is enough] tells the story and I think WP will handle my objectives.

Your current Alexa Ranking is 22,718,768. I’m pretty sure WordPress can handle it.

    Chrisber,

That’s GREAT, considering the site was introduced approx.5 days back. LOL.

I have spoken to my consultant (Ph.D computer science) and he likes WP too. So, we will stick with WP and and I am VERY happy about this excellent CMS.

Now, I have my fingers crossed that [Link Removed – One is enough] will accelerate like YouTube. LOL.

Wow, now my traffic is 1,110,080 for one week. Not bad for being pn the internet for less than a week?

hosted on 1&1… yah good luck with those 1 million visitors. lol.

and just so you know, that number isnt your traffic, thats your traffic ranking. They are NOT the same thing.

    Read this: https://www.alexa.com/site/help/traffic_learn_more

My main site, for instance has a rank of 136,658

I’m well aware with 1and1 and the lousy service. I know about Alexa too and there’s really no need for the minuscule education lesson. But, I do appreciate the link and the information.

My business advisory (Ph.D computer science) will contact me with a trusted hosting company for a dedicated server. If you know of one that is TRUSTED and reasonable – please advise.

    Thanks.
