Help save me from myself? category metadata?

  • Hey there, I have stumped myself, maybe wordpress world can help?

    From ages back, I somehow associated custom keywords with some of my categories. This survived an extremely awkward upgrade from 1.5 to 2.6.1, and now drives a sort of primitive contextual advertising system on my category pages.

    The problem is, I cannot for the life of me figured out how I attached any metadata to a category page, and so I can’t edit them. Certainly the interface inside the WP backend doesn’t let you do that. I also don’t seem to have any plugins involved for that purpose. Was this category metadata available in 1.5 and has just carried itself along? Er, any other ideas?
