• Hi all,

I’m running Sela theme on my site crossings.coffee, and seemed to have picked up social media tiles on the left side of the screen. At first I thought I had added a plugin which was putting them there, but the only social media I added are from Jetpack and they’re at the bottom of the page. I can’t find where these are coming from and how to remove them. Any help would be appreciated!

  • You have widget on footer, Check footer widget from your dashboard. Removing them should do the trick

Thanks for the response. Are you sure those are what’s responsible? The social media icons on the bottom of the screen are from Jetpack, and I’ve only activated the three that you see. The ones popping up on the left side include Tumblr, a print option, and a “+” for additional options. I don’t have a tumblr for this account, so I don’t understand where it’s coming from or where I’ve activated this.

Would you, go to your widget setting page from dashboard and let me know if you have any widgets placed in there?

Sure – I’m seeing the Jetpack widget in the footer for social media in there, but only the three I selected: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I already tried deleting it to see if that was it, but the tiles still aren’t going away.

Update – it’s an “addthis” plugin. I never added this (at least not intentionally!) and there doesn’t seem to be a way to remove it. Any ideas?

You mean you can’t disable it ? if that’s the case try your site could be hacked or have malware. install wordfence plugin run a scan
