• Hi
    I wonder can you guys point a newbie in the right direction I am using the excellent easel theme for my word press blog.
    And I ahve hit a few problems please can you elp me iwth the following.
    1. I want the right hand sidebar to have a red background with white text, how do I do this in the css file.
    2 I want to change all the headings to red again not sure what to ater in css file.
    3 I want to change the tag line text colour to white and the background colour from black to red.

  • You can start by using the Firefox plugin Firebug or the Chrome inspect element to find these css styles.
    Just hover over the area you want to change the the CSS styles will show on the right hand side.. then find those in your style sheet and start making changes.
    Oh and btw…. please make a child theme first so that if this theme is updated you won’t overwrite all your new changes.

    Many thanks for the quick reply, I have tried to do what you have said.
    But can find no reference for eg. to widget title class etc in either of the css files for this theme.
    As you ahve no doubt guessed I am not very good with css.
    Can anyone tell me exactly what I have to alter in either css file in order to get what i want do above please.
