HELP please! Problem with og:image sharing on facebook/twitter

    Hi, I′m having an issue with the og:image for facebook. I have uploaded specific images for each post to share on facebook via the Yoast plugin. However, images that once worked have suddenly disappeared from facebook. I ran debugging on the facebook for developers sharing debugging site when I first uploaded these images, and they were working. But a few days later they are not showing, and have therefore disappeared from all the facebook posts they have been shared in. I′ve searched the forum and seen others who have had similar problems but there are no replies available to see with the solution. Help much appreciated!

  • Please make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress 4.8 and Yoast SEO 5.1. If you are already up-to-date and the problem persists, can you provide a URL where this is occurring so that we can take a look?

    I have the same problem and i just updated my plugin. Then i scraped trough developers facebook my site. But i still experience this problem. https://www.footprintfestival.nl

    Hi, thanks for the quick reply! Everything′s updated. The URL where you can currently see the problem is:

    This was working yesterday. There were more like this, but I kept scraping those URL′s in the facebook sharing debugger, and re-uploaded some images and now those seem to be working. However, I′m concerned that they will ′disappear′ again at some point, as it seems to be happening randomly.

    @ttm2017 If the images show in the debugger but then disappear, that is typically an issue on Facebook’s side. To confirm this, please review the source code of your site for the og:image tag.

    How To View The Page Source of Your Site

    If the tag exists with an image and debugger sees the og:image tag but no image appears (even if it happens later), Facebook is removing the image for an unknown reason. Please reach out to Facebook for assistance.

    OK – I have looked at the tag in the debugger and the link to the image is there. I′ll get onto Facebook then. Thanks
