Help please

  • When sharing the link to the website via facebook etc, how does it decide which image etc to show when sharing the link and is there a way to change it?

    Hi @mikezak75,

    Facebook use meta data like og:image, og:title etc to share any post. If you have not defined og:image it takes any image from content of post and use it.

    You can use any plugin that has capability to assign og image to change image when you share. Yoast SEO plugin also has this feature.

    Where can I define the og:image and og:title in the current theme without an addon? or can you recommend a simple plug in

    It is not allowed to give this option in themes. You can use Yoast SEO plugin. If you need some lighter plugin you can search it in .org repo. But note that in some cases it might takes few days to reflect image change in facebook because of its cache.
