• I have a blog at https://www.greenlandstock.com

I was editing some pages a while ago. When i checked to see my changes on the site the page was suddenly not to be found by the browser. I then realised that it was all posts and pages that where gone (search works).

If i turn of permalinks everything works as normal, but this is not what want of course and i guess my page would basically disapear from Google if this is the only solution.

I then decided to put up a ‘sorry’ message on the frontpage. I edited the front page templated and tried to upload it with a FTP client. I got an error saying the disk was full. I deletede some old stuff on the server and uploaded the new frontpage template fine. I guess this is the cause of the permalinks error but i have no idea how to fix it. I should have had plenty of gigas free on that server anyway!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Regards,
    Anders

  • Maybe your database is full and can’t save more rewritten links.

Often the server disk space is independent from the database space.

I just found out that my .htaccess file had gone empty somehow. I uploaded a new one and now everything is back to normal.

I don’t see why this happened.

    Thanks,
    Anders
