Help.. or Categories have gone?

  • Hi… all my cats have disappeared from my blog.. When i do full edit post, the Cats are not in the cat list, BUT they are listed in the most used list. If I go to the add cat part of admin and try to add the cat again it says that the cat is already there so I can not add it again.

    I have tried the one solution I found here and it did not work… this was to del .htaccess then in admin resave the permalinks setup.

    Anyway… any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
