Help on creating albums with galleries inside

Hi ??
I was wondering if there is anyone who can help med create a functioning gallery in wordpress? I have tried different plugins, but I′m relatively new at this, so either it`s not working/I don′t know what to do, or it′s not quite what I wanted ??
What I want is:
Click on the gallery button in the top menu, and the page displays album-thumbs of different galleries. Click on a thumb and get a page with thumbs of all the pictures in the gallery. Click on a picture and get the lightbox feature with the dark fading of the background and the image pop-up… Click next to see the other pictures in the gallery.
I thought this was quite common, but I′m not especially good in php, so I cant make this work. Anyone who can help me? Help will be greatly appreciated ??
