• Hi,

    I’ve just started a new blog recently and unfortunately the old wordpress sample pages/ posts (installed along with WordPress) have been indexed by Google. I would like to redirect all to the homepage by modyfing the .htaccess file. After several attempts the redirects still don’t work. See below the content I have in the .htaccess file.

    # BEGIN WordPress

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On

    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/hello-world/ https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/
    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/hello-world/?share=google-plus-1 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/
    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/sample-page/ https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/
    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/2011/06/ https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/
    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/hello-world/?replytocom=1 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/
    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/2011/05/ https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/
    Redirect 301 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/?p=1 https://www.augmentedtomorrow.com/

    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress
