Help needed: static pages, separate categories and navigation bars…Oh my

  • I have created a static page that has integrated into my navigation bar nicely, however, on this static page I need to link to various articles and reviews. I do not want these reviews to show up on my main page as simple posts, and I cannot create another static page because they automatically jump into my navigation bar.

    Please help if you know of some way to keep new pages from going to the navigation bar, or if there is some way to keep posts in a category from showing up on the home page in chronological order.

    Please people, I really wanted to set this up by today.

    Will I have to create a whole new installation???

    Your attitude may require a little adjusting. When someone reads your post and knows the answer, they will reply. Remember that this is a volunteer forum.

    If you are so eager to get things done absolutely immediately, you can pay for it or offer some incentive. Meanwhile check out the codex, and let people here know what yo have tried, what errors you’re getting and so on.

    Your second post is moderately ungrateful.

    I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to sound ungrateful (moderatly or otherwise) I was simply trying to show exactly what you told me to.

    Meanwhile check out the codex, and let people here know what yo have tried, what errors you’re getting and so on.

    I believe that my second sentence illustrates that I had made some effort becuase creating a new installation is obviously a last-ditch effort.

    I am sorry that I am new to all of this, I did not want my second post to sound pushy (if it came off like that). I just wanted to have things set up as soon as I could, and I knew that this forum is full of wordpress experts.

    Again, I apologize for my second post, but maybe you should adjust your attitude for coming down so hardly on me when I obviously not familiar with the forum procedures or rhetoric.
