help needed on uploading to wp-themes.org

  • Briefly: how does this work? I’ve installed Tortoise SVN, right-clicked on my theme folder and tried to upload it to the URL Matt sent me in the setup email, but after entering my username and password I get a ‘405: method not allowed’ error message and nothing is uploaded.

    I can’t find a tutorial anywhere so everything I’ve done so far has been guesswork, and any pointers at all would be appreciated. I should add that I’m not a plugin author or developer and have never used subversion before, so I’d prefer not to get into command line stuff if at all possible.

  • NTU I do not want to discourage you but this is command line gurus only. Podz didnt manage it. I just had a look. I am now RTFM.

    I couldn’t even locate the FM so you’re already a couple of steps ahead of me ??

    I’ll revert to Plan B and upload the zips to my own site, which is much friendlier to nongeek end-users anyway; the only big concern there is bandwidth, but we’ll see how it goes.

    Oh, this is simple. Find someone who knows how to do it, ask real nicely for them to do it, then wha-la! It’s on there.

    Or at least that is how I figured it out. ??
