Help! Need a better photo editor

    I’ve got a problem.

    The WP photo editor is too limiting. I want something other than small, medium and large. Large is too big and medium is too small.

    Most of the plugins that I’m interested in are not compatible with WP 4.1.

    I want something simple, optimally something that expands the photo editor’s capabilities in WP 4.1.

    I’ve now installed and tried about 5 of them and they are either too complex or don’t do what I want them to do.

    My main goal is to simply be able to specify what size I want the image to be.

    I’ve tried to resize offline and them upload that image and it’s still either too large or too small.

    HELP!
