• I followed the directions for installing WP in a different directory. All is well. However, I am testing WP out and I find that I cannot use the “more” tag. On the index.php page, the “more” tag is linked, but when I click it, it goes to “The page cannot be found”. I would like to know how to fix this problem, if possible.
Also, am I supposed to or do I have to upload the same index.php file in my root directory to my wordpress directory? I kept the default index.php file in the wordpress directory and have my custom template in my root directory (mysite.com/index.php). Is that fine?
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Should work — it does on my girlfriend’s blog.
What URL do the links on the front page point to? Did you make the appropriate change in the admin interface?

    A link would be nice.
Have you set your permalinks up using mod_rewrite? And is the default path to your WordPress installation correct (i.e. site.com/wp)?
Also, I don’t understand the custom template. Are you using frames?
