Help migrating product categories with data and images?

    Good evening,
    I am currently in the process of migrating my shop from one host to another. It’s taken quite some time and on the new host, I’ve already began working on the shop. I was able to do an export of all products, including their images, and they all show fine, all the images are added to the media library and working as they should. Where I am running into an issue is with product categories.

    I was able to get all 197 of my categories migrated to the new host, but unfortunately, none of the data came with them (I.e., product category description) nor did the images transfer over. I have them all uploaded to my new server, but they don’t show in the library because, of course, they’re not added to the categories in the database.

    My question is, having access to my old server and the admin section for it, how could I get a backup of JUST the product categories, with the descriptions and the image links so that I may update them on my new server? Barring the use of a plugin, how could I copy from my old database to the new one, just the product categories / descriptions / image links and have them show on the new server? I’d really rather not have to go back through and edit / upload images for 197 categories manually!

    Thank you for contacting Woo support.

    I understand you are migrating your site from one host to another.
    You are facing an issue where category images and descriptions are not migrated.

    May I ask which steps you are following to migrate the data between the two servers?

    Could you edit a category on the old site and share it with me?
    I want to see how your categories are configured.

    Also, share the list of active plugins on your old site.
    This will help me understand all the features.
