So I’ve been having this issue with my store that when sidecart is empty then the message “No products in the cart.” doesn’t translate. I have tried LocoTranslate, SayWhat, turning off plugins to see maybe some of them causes that, but nope, nothing. So I downloaded String Locator plugin and used that to find string so maybe I can finally fix that translation. It found some strings and I replaced them and then my whole store is now totally messed up. I deactivated the plugin, uninstalled that but the store is stell messed up. And ofcourse I don’t have backup of my page, fun times. Letters are now missing, some words are in Estonian, some in English. Help! How the hell I’m gonna fix this? I’m so angry at myself right now…

PHEW! Ok I managed to fix this on my own. I downloaded the string plugin again and did the steps I did before in reverse and now I’m back to good. But how in the earth I’m gonna transate this “NO PRODUCTS IN THE CART.” message?

    Hi @browmaniac ,

    Great job on fixing this!

But how in the earth I’m gonna transate this “NO PRODUCTS IN THE CART.” message?

It sounds like the String Locator plugin may be conflicting with other plugins on your site which caused this issue to occur, correct?

Since this forum is for support related to WooCommerce core, this is beyond the scope of support we are able to provide.

This being said, I would suggest reaching out to the developers of the String Locator plugin for further help with this.

Here is a link to their dedicated support forum.

Alternatively, you can reach out to the developers of Loco Translate for help on how to successfully translate that specific string successfully.

Here is a direct link to the Loco Translate plugin support forum.

    Hope this helps!

String locator didn’t case that non-translation issue. I tried String locator to fix it, but instead it didn’t fix that but messed up my site which I finally managed to restore. In this forum they have recommended me multiple times to try Say What?, Loco Translate ect plugins to translate it. None of them works. Also tried switching off all plugins to see if the conflict comes from any of these – nope, nothing. Tried to change theme – also nothing. I have no ideas anymore what to do.

    Hello @browmaniac,

In my test site that string is named “Your cart is currently empty” and I was able to change it using LocoTranslate. When translating something LocoTranslate make sure to update the string in the .po file of the active language of your site.

If you need more help with this I recommend creating a thread in LocoTranslate’s support forum.

    Cheers!

Actually yesterday I managed to fix that translation issue thanks to ChatGPT and Translatepress. All good now and thank you for your help also!
