Help me insert a horizontal line in my single.php

Hello guys, could someone help me insert a straight line somewhere in my single.php file?

I know how this was done in html, but can’t do it in PHP :/
Just one horizontal straight line, as a separator, and I like to be able to control it’s thickness.
