lost all images from blog

Actually, only some (looks like new ones) are visible. Have you looked in the media library? Are they there?

No only the new images are from the posts I actually created when I transferred domains? As I said I exported all data so am unsure why my images are gone?

Sounds like they didn’t all get exported or imported.

Have you asked the .COM people as to whether they can recover a new export file for you? Or do you have a copy of the exported file(s) still?

Sometimes it happens with images. How many such images are there that are missing? A lot many of them or just a few?

A lot ?? about 20 posts work of images, all posts with a few each

I think either you may need to re-import your site or manually insert the images to each post.

I have imported it and the images fail to import. There has to be a way I can get all my images back? They were all there when I initially exported my wp.com site but when I deleted my wp.com blog they all disappeared??

That sounds like perhaps they were never actually moved, but the file paths were to the old site?

Were you using your current domain name on your old wordpress.com site previously?

I was using caitlynloves.wordpress now I have caitlynloves.com

And you never used the caitlynloves.com domain name on the caitlynloves.wordpress.com site?

No I didn’t, I changed domain and to a self hosted site at the same time.
